Meet Scott Paschal

pacificlife2007day3021.jpgScott Paschal is a Christian missionary living in the United States.

His journey into service for King Jesus began under difficult circumstances.

As a teen, Scott came from a broken home. His father left his family, and later, due to the ravages of alcoholism, committed suicide in Scott’s car.

Thus began a decade of confusion and pain for a young Scott Paschal.

Fortunately, Scott’s high school football coach, along with Scott’s girlfriend and his pastor during college all cared enough to bring Scott through his most difficult times. They each felt God had a plan for him.

In 1998, while living in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Scott answered the call he had felt for many years and began his work in public ministry. The pain he endured had come full circle into a desire to help others, as he had been helped.

As a tennis pro, Scott had a vision to use the sport of tennis as a vehicle to reach others in need. His ministry, the International Christian Tennis Association, ICTA, was founded.

ICTA became the first organization in history to provide large-scale mission outreaches to professional tennis tournaments. ICTA Outreaches have attended pro events from California to Texas to Florida offering free Christian materials to over one million fans.

Scott Paschal founded a tennis academy program to provide high performance tennis training in a faith-filled environment.

Since founding the tennis training program for his ministry in 2001, Scott, a veteran tennis coach of over 22 years, has been blessed to coach, mentor and disciple students from 14 countries and 15 US states who have trained full time in his academy program.

People worldwide have joined in the vision of the International Christian Tennis Association. ICTA has members in over 1800 cities in over 60 countries.

Living in Palm Coast, Florida, Scott is currently writing a book and preparing to film a video curriculum.

He is single, loves to ride his mountain bike, enjoys coaching and discipling his tennis academy students, and thanks God daily for his blessed life.

The life story of Scott Paschal shares how God can and will reach out to the weak and hurting causalities of life on this earth, and use us for His will to be done and His glory to be revealed.

  4. franklin,

i coach tennis mainly as a hobby. coaching is not, by far, my main purpose professionally or in life. though it is something i still enjoy as i gain great satisfaction seeing my students fall deeper in love with Jesus.

after over 20 years as a tennis coach, and after having coached players who have competed in all 4 grand slams and in ITF pro circuit tournaments in 18 countries, and after having coached full time the #1 B18 USA, #1 B18 Greece, #1 G16 Ukraine, #1 G18 Samoa, #7 G18 USA, #5 B18 Norway, #5 G16 New Zealand, countless juniors and adults, and after building 2 WTA ranked players from beginners, and after having my players go on to receive full college scholarship offers in D1, D2, and Junior College… I felt I had achieved everything I set out to accomplish and more, thus simply coaching to be a coach became boring and routine.

yes, i believe i can coach any player at any level. yes, i believe i can create a pro player from a beginner. yes, i believe my training programs are among the finest in the world. but, i am past wanting to simply build great players! now, i want to be used by God to develop great missionaries who have a passion and hunger to learn about Christ and to tell the world!

my academy tennis missionary training program has been full every semester since 2001. students tend to stay for long periods of times. years, often.

i appreciate your interest in sending your daughter here, but i am not currently looking or available for new students for the Spring of 2008. except for WTA players joining our women’s pro tennis teams and select high performance male juniors joining our tournament travel teams, i’m completely booked at this point in time, but you can be placed on a waiting list if you like.

    summer might offer more openings!!

know i am in the process of locating land to build a tennis facility and player housing. this will allow for additional players and coaches to be able to benefit from our programs.

    please stay in touch.

    God bless, scotty
